Along the Hudson

Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks will be launched from barges along the Hudson River for the first time in a decade, according to the city.

This year’s show will feature thousands of shells, featuring an impressive array of effects, vibrant colors, shapes, lights and sounds.

‘We’re ensuring everyone has a fair chance to participate’

Mayor Eric Adams shared his reasons for giving away 10,000 free tickets.

“While all New Yorkers can participate in lighting up our sky at the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, our management is ensuring that 10,000 lucky New Yorkers will have the opportunity to enjoy the show with a front-row seat,” said Mayor Adams in a declaration.

“We’re ensuring everyone has a fair chance to take part in one of the city’s most exciting and iconic events. I look forward to joining the thousands of spectators celebrating America’s birthday right here in the Big Apple.”
