NORTH Koreans were told to join a massive effort and collect human waste to fertilize crops.
Dictator Kim Jong-un wants a whopping 22 pounds of poop from every citizen.
It comes a month after the stocky despot sent feces-filled balloons across the border into South Korea – apparently in response to his regime’s scorn.
His subjects are disheartened by the last request, as is usually done in winter.
But the dire shortage of imported fertilizers means that a summer collection has been introduced as part of Jong-un’s initiative to prioritize agriculture.
Residents complain that they are being asked to dry manure in their gardens in the summer heat.
But North Koreans can avoid the dirty chain by spending a few cents.
A resident of Ryanggang province said the exclusion cost 5,000 won – about £4.50 – a large sum for many impoverished residents.
He added: “The neighborhood watch unit has issued an order to dry the human waste.
“Residents were unable to hide their bewilderment.”
