Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh said in the latest edition of Talking about the tropics with Mike that Beryl is predicted to become a cat. 2 over the Central Caribbean as it turns more northwest over time… and is expected to be a hurricane before arriving in the Lesser Antilles on Monday, July 1st.
There appears to be no impact on Jacksonville or Florida, although the storm is expected to weaken late next week in the western or northwestern Caribbean, in an environment that *now appears* to be less favorable, and there may be some land interaction.
