Cold-blooded killer Wade Wilson had a frightening reaction after finding out the jury had recommended the death penalty for his crimes.

Nicknamed the ‘Deadpool killer’ for sharing the Marvel antihero’s name, Wilson was convicted of the murders of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz of Cape Coral, Florida on June 12.

The two women were killed just hours apart on October 7, 2019.

Wilson first killed Melton after meeting her and her friend Stephanie Sailors at a bar in Cape Coral, before strangling the 35-year-old woman as she slept in her bed.

A few hours later, using Melton’s car, he attacked Ruiz, 43, luring her into his car in broad daylight after asking her for directions to a local school.

When the mother-of-two tried to drive away, he fought with her, strangled her and pushed her out of the vehicle before running her over up to 20 times.

‘Soulless monster’

On June 25, the jury recommended the death penalty for the tattooed, swastika-covered killer after unanimously concluding that his murders were “especially heinous, atrocious and cruel.”

Ten of the 12 jurors voted in favor of imposing the death penalty on Wilson for Ruiz’s murder and nine voted in favor of capital punishment for Melton’s murder.

Instead of putting his head in his hands or showing any signs of distress or fear, Wilson simply smiled at the judge who is expected to rule on whether to recommend the death penalty on July 23.

Just as prosecutor Sara Miller said Wilson had a “complete indifference” to Melton’s life, he appeared to adopt the same stance when confronted with his own death.

His reaction was described as “chilling” and “scary” on social media.

“This guy could really be the poster boy for non-functional psychopaths… The eyes. No one’s home.” a user he wrote.

“He’s dead inside,” a TikTok user he said in response to the disturbing images, while others on X called him a “soulless monster.”

In court, Miller called Wilson’s murders “shockingly evil and vile” as he described how Wilson carefully calculated the deaths of the two women he tortured.

“Both murders were especially heinous, atrocious and cruel. He inflicted pain and showed complete indifference to her [Melton’s] life,” Miller said.

Melton’s body was found in his home tied and wrapped with signs of a struggle from broken fingernails and internal and external bruises.

He said he got back in the car and ran over her until she looked like spaghetti.

Meanwhile, Ruiz was found dead in a field behind a Sam’s Club three days after she disappeared on her way to work.

WITHOUT REMORSE

During the trial, the jury heard from Steven Testasecca, Wilson’s father, who detailed how his son bragged “enthusiastically” about his murders.

The ailing father who surrendered his son said Wilson showed no remorse and went into graphic detail about the murders.

“He said he pulled her out of the car and noticed she was still breathing,” Testasecca said of her son’s comments about Ruiz’s murder.
