A South Carolina man was arrested on multiple charges following a drug bust at his Midlands home, according to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
Jarvis Oneil Adams, a 37-year-old Batesburg resident, was charged with methamphetamine trafficking and possession of crack manufacturing supplies, the sheriff’s department said Wednesday in a news release. He was also accused of manufacturing, distributing, etc. of cocaine base, jail records show.
“Deputies identified Adams as a local drug dealer,” Sheriff Jay Koon said in the release. “Their investigation resulted in a search warrant for his home.”
During a June 28 search of a warehouse on Adams’ property, deputies found drug-making supplies and substances, the sheriff’s department said. This included a spoon, a whisk, glass containers and a heating source that tested positive for cocaine base, according to the release.
Additionally, a box containing more than 400 grams of a clear, crystalline substance consistent with methamphetamine was also in the shed, the sheriff’s department said.
“Officers arrested Adams at his home on Friday and transported him to the Lexington County Detention Center,” Koon said.
Adams’ bail was set at $45,000 on the combined charges and he remains behind bars, jail records show.
