A DRIVER was left speechless after seeing a truck being swept down the street by a mini tornado.

The surprising moment was captured by Hunter Luken and a friend as they walked past a car dealership when the event occurred.

Luken’s insane footage was captured as an EF-1 tornado hit Jacksonville on the south side of Florida during a thunderstorm on Friday, CW affiliate WJXT reported.

“Are you making a tornado right now? We’re watching a tornado forming right over there,” one person can be heard saying in the video as they drive past a used car lot.

The tornado can then be observed lifting a white Toyota Tacoma before sending it across the median and narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic.

“Oh my God!” someone in the car shouted.

According to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, no one was injured by the wayward automobile.

A second person captured the incident from a different angle, showing how many cars were forced to stop and avoid the overturned vehicle.

Ellen Mitchell called the entire ordeal “very scary.”

“I saw a funnel forming and decided to pull out my phone and take a quick video of it. I had never seen a tornado before. I’m a born and raised Florida girl,” Mitchell told the outlet.

“If that tornado was capable of doing that to a vehicle, if a human being was there, what would happen because Floridians are constantly on the lookout for hurricanes, but not something this fast.”

Mitchell said the tornado had been on the ground for 20 minutes before he received an alert on his phone.

“I feel very lucky. I mean, it could have taken our lives, it could have killed any of us or anyone here. But luckily we are all here. We are safe, we are alive by the grace of God,” she added.

This storm is the latest in several severe weather systems to hit the US.
