JOE Biden appeared to brush aside concerns about his presidential campaign, saying only divine intervention could lead him to abandon the race for the White House.

In an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, Biden, 81, acknowledged his disastrous debate performance last week, calling it a “bad episode.”

Stephanopoulos pressed Biden on the debate and reports that his lapses and gaffes have become more common in recent months.

“Are you the same man today as you were when you took office three and a half years ago?” asked Stephanopoulos.

“In terms of success, yes. I was also the guy who came up with a peace plan for the Middle East that may be coming to fruition,” Biden said, adding that he expanded NATO and grew the economy.

“All the individual things that were done were ideas that I had or that I did. I moved on.”

Biden appeared to joke about concerns about his age and mental fitness, saying he couldn’t “run 100 out of 10.”

“But I’m still in good shape,” he assured.

Later in the interview, Stephanopoulos asked the president if he would make the decision to resign if he was unable to beat his rival, former President Donald Trump.

“If you can be convinced that you cannot defeat donald trumpAre you going to move away?” he asked.

“It depends if the Lord Almighty comes and tells me this,” Biden said.

“I could do that.”

Biden repeated the comment, saying, “If the Lord Almighty said ‘Joe, get out of the race,’ I would get out of the race, but the Lord Almighty won’t get out.”
