Horror footage captured the aftermath and showed blood-stained waters as swimmers rushed to help.

Sullivent, a mother, was one of the victims and revealed that she had lost her left calf, due to a GoFundMe publish.

She admitted that she will not have the same leg as before the attack.

Sullivent recalled the moments leading up to the attack and said he thought the shark was initially a large fish.

She was bitten after frantically trying to kick.

“And that was the point where it bit me,” she told the NBC affiliate KXAS-TV.

“And if I hadn’t pulled my legs up, it probably would have hit my torso or something.”

Kyle Jud, who was on the beach at the time, described the attack as horrific.

“The beach patrol lifted her up – her calf was just gone, shredded,” he said.

Patrick Kennedy, who created the GoFundMe page, revealed that Sullivent’s surgery went well.

Doctors are hopeful they can save his leg.

He said surgeons are optimistic they can do a skin graft next week.

Sullivent’s husband, Cary, was also bitten but has since been released from custody. hospital.

She said Cary saved her life.

“He fought a shark for me. That’s pretty impressive,” she said.

Nereyda Bazaldua’s daughter Victoria, 18, was also bitten while in the water on July 4th.

But the teenager’s injuries were not extremely serious.

“The shark pushed her, five to six of its teeth scratched his leg,” said Bazaldua CNN.

She said the predator came out of nowhere before sinking its teeth into her leg.

Images shared on social media showed dorsal fins in relatively shallow waters.

Patrols were implemented and warnings were issued following the wave of attacks.

There have been fewer than 10 reported shark bites in Texas since 2012, according to data from the International Shark Attack Archive.

Meanwhile, exclusive footage captured by The US Sun showed a beast lurking near unsuspecting beachgoers off the coast of Miami.

Connor Graham Baker of Ohio was attacked while playing football in New Smyrna Beach – about 200 miles north of Miami Beach, as reported by Daytona Beach Newspaper.

The 21-year-old was bitten on the foot, but his life was not at risk.

New Smyrna Beach has been dubbed the shark bite capital of the world.

Experts have warned beachgoers to avoid wearing shiny jewelry because sharks may think humans are fish.

Swimmers should also avoid entering the water at dawn and dusk.

And swimmers should enter the water in groups and not alone.
