This encounter aired on the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The pair spoke at the Four Seasons hotel in New Orleans, where Blanchard lives.

Kardashian praised Blanchard for her work since her release from prison in December 2023.

“I recognize that you can make a big difference because you can actually articulate what you’ve been through and how you can overcome it,” Kardashian said.

The reality TV star revealed that she followed Blanchard’s story and case closely.

Blanchard then praised Kardashian and gave her “congratulations” for talking about her and going to meet her.

The former prisoner served more than eight years in prison for the 2015 murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard.

Blanchard has expressed her desire to do prison reform work, which Kardashian has been a strong voice on.

The TV star then explained why she believed Blanchard should have another future.

“I know it’s a controversial topic when people meet with people who were involved in something so violent,” Kardashian said in a confessional.

“But I believe people should have a second chance at life.

“And I take all your training into consideration, it’s hard not to.”

Blanchard responded emotionally and said he served his time and paid for his actions.

“Now let’s see what I can do again with my new life and my second chance,” Blanchard said.

Who is the gypsy Rose Blanchard?

Blanchard was born on July 27, 1991, to Clauddine “Dee Dee” Pitre and Rod Blanchard.

She was deceived by her mother into believing that she had been sick most of her life.

According to her late mother, her daughter suffered from leukemia, asthma and muscular dystrophy.

Since then, medical professionals and investigators have concluded that the daughter was likely a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy.

Dee Dee was found stabbed to death in her home on June 14, 2015.

Two days later, Gypsy and her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn were arrested in connection with her mother’s homicide.
