An Athens Post state trooper recorded a Chevrolet going 186 mph in a 55 mph speed zone on US 33 in Athens County on July 4.
OSHP posted body camera footage of the traffic stop on its Facebook page.
It showed the state trooper approaching the driver.
“What the hell are you doing?” he asked.
“I have no idea,” he replied. “Sorry.”
The driver was surprised when the state trooper said he was clocked at 116 mph.
Body camera video also showed the driver told the officer he did not have a driver’s license and was taken into custody.
Last year, state troopers arrested 138 drivers for OVI on the Fourth of July.
