A HORRIFIED eyewitness has claimed Donald Trump is “lucky to be alive” after it appears shots were fired at his rally on Saturday afternoon.

Pennsylvania state candidate David McCormick told Fox News about the chaos that erupted when at least 8 to 10 gunshots appeared to ring out as Trump spoke.

Trump was rushed from the stage with blood pouring from his ear after Secret Service agents pushed him to the ground as “popping” sounds sounded.

McCormick said another person in the crowd was also injured and that there was a lot of blood at the scene.

He said it appeared that some of the alleged gunshots came from the president’s left side as he was facing the crowd and that a man behind him was hit.

The candidate said others in the crowd quickly ran to administer first aid.

He added that he believed it to be a small caliber firearm, but was unsure if there was just one or two weapons.

County prosecutors have claimed the alleged shooter and a rally attendee are dead.

The local prosecutor also confirmed that the shooter was killed by the US Secret Service.

A witness said in an interview with the BBC that he saw a man with a rifle on the roof of a nearby building shooting at the Trump rally.

Another speaking in a video shared by NTD News White House correspondent Iris Tao heard a “pop” behind where she was sitting in the stands behind the president, where she believed the shot had come from.

Immediately, screams were heard from horrified attendees as the former president fell to the ground.

Another witness stated that the president was hit by “shards of glass” on the side of his face.

An eyewitness told Fox News that Trump appeared to be OK when he was taken off the stage, despite the blood on his face.

Another said he asked the Secret Service to “let me get my shoes” before being taken away.

He raised his fist to his supporters before being led away.

A Trump spokesperson said shortly afterward that the president was “fine” following the shocking event.

Some people in the crowd were heard shouting “USA, USA, USA” as Trump was led away.

Another eyewitness told Fox News that he heard “seven or eight gunshots” and that he stood up and tried to film as his wife ducked and fell to the ground.

He added that he saw smoke coming from gunshots when the shots were fired.
