A police officer saw Trump’s shooter, Thomas Crooks, before he fired, but did not become involved after pointing his rifle at him.

Crooks shot former President Donald Trump in the ear on Saturday and also killed one man and injured two others.

A local police officer climbed onto the roof and saw Crooks pointing his rifle at the officer, according to the Associated press.

He quickly ran down the stairs and the shooter fired toward Trump, according to the anonymous police officer who spoke to the outlet.
