Donald Trump arrived in Milwaukee for the Republican National Convention a day after being the target of an assassination attempt at a campaign event.
His plane landed on Sunday, the day before the four-day event begins with thousands of Republicans gathering to formally elect him as their 2024 presidential candidate.
The former president said in a social media post Sunday that he was delaying his trip by two days because of the assassination attempt “but I just decided I can’t let a ‘shooter’ or potential assassin force the change in scheduling or anything else”.
He is not expected to speak at the event until Thursday night.
