MODEL Amber Rose’s speech at the Republican National Convention sparked questions about the words tattooed on her forehead.
Her face tattoos caught the attention of viewers at home as she spoke about her journey to becoming a supporter of former President Donald Trump, 78.
Rapper Kanye West’s ex-girlfriend has the words “Bash” and “Slash” tattooed on her forehead, for AND! News.
It is a tribute to his two sons, Sebastian Thomaz and Slash Edwards.
Rose, 40, shared that the decision to get the tattoo in 2020 came after the death of Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant that same year.
“After Kobe died, it made me reflect on my life, and I don’t want people to think, ‘Oh, Kobe died and you went and got a tattoo,’” Rose said on Fox Soul’s One-on-One with Keyshia Cole in 2020, per Fox Affiliate KTV.
“But it was kind of like that because I thought about my dad, my dad had cancer when he was 40, he went into remission and he’s fine, but he almost died and I’m 36.”
Rose said she had wanted to get the tattoo for a long time.
“Life is so short, just do it, just live your best,” she said.
“No regrets, just do it. That’s how I felt, I’m glad I did it.”
‘IT’S ALL LOVE’
Rose spoke at the RNC and addressed Republican voters and Trump, who sat with a bandage on his bruised ear after Saturday’s shooting.
She took the stage as an “ordinary American” alongside a handful of other voters.
In his speech Monday night, Rose recalled how he didn’t always support Trump and blamed the media for “lying” about the former president.
“I know this because for a long time I believed these lies,” she admitted.
Rose said she thought Trump “was racist.”
But when her father, a Trump supporter, asked her to prove her point, she learned more about who the former president was and his party’s values.
So I put aside the fear of judgement, of being misunderstood, of being attacked by the left, and I put on the red hat too.

“I realized that Donald Trump and his supporters don’t care if you are black, white, gay or straight,” she said.
“It’s all love. And that’s when it hit me: these are my people, this is where I belong.”
She added: “So I put aside my fear of being judged, of being misunderstood, of being attacked by the left, and I put on the red hat too.”
Rose also said, as a Trump supporter, that she has “never felt more free and more in love with my country than I do now.”
The model thanked her father for “opening” her eyes to Trump.
PREVIOUS COMMENTS
Before Rose could call herself a Trump supporter, she criticized the former president and said she wouldn’t vote for him in 2016.
When Trump ran against Hillary Clinton, the model was asked about the two candidates and made her stance very clear.
“I’m voting for Hillary, I don’t give a damn,” she told Daily Beast.
“I love her, and always have. I feel like this is her time to just mock everyone and be the powerful woman that she is.
“And I will leave the United States if [Trump] I selected.”
She also told The cut: “He’s an idiot.
“He’s an idiot. He’s so weird. I really hope he doesn’t become president.”
I realized that Donald Trump and his supporters don’t care if you are black, white, gay or straight. It’s all Love. And it was then that I realized: these are my people, this is where I belong.

However, in May 2024, his position towards Trump changed drastically.
Rose posted a photo of herself, Trump and Melania Trump on Instagram with the caption: “Trump 2024.”
Her 180-degree change of political views caused a stir in the comments, but she was quick to support her beliefs.
“Damn, do you think Biden cares about black people??? Sad,” she responded to fans.
“Do your research. I did. I will always put women first.
“You want biological men in women’s sports. Trump supports the most reasonable compromise on abortion.
“Stop being brainwashed because we ARE people of color. Make your own decisions.”
