The Golborne man moved to the sun-drenched island in June to take a break from his law studies.

But what was supposed to be a life in paradise turned into a difficult situation, with Ben not seen since July 10.

His mother, Félix, now plans to fly to Mallorca in a desperate attempt to find her beloved son.

It comes just days after Jay Slater’s body was tragically found in Tenerife, almost a month after he went missing.

It is feared that Ben has no money and no way of contacting family for help after his bag was stolen on the beach on July 6.

The thief ran off with Ben’s wallet, iPad, passport and keys while he went for a swim.

Felix received a “peculiar” email from Ben on July 10 and hasn’t heard from him since.

Ben is believed to have fallen out with his flatmates after being accidentally locked out of their flat.

He also referred to his mental health issues in the email to his mother, after struggling to access money to find new accommodation.

After her purse was stolen on July 6, the family says Ben spent hours at the police station reporting the incident before getting lost on the way home after no longer having the aid of her phone for directions.

He eventually returned home, but had difficulty getting his flatmates’ attention to let him in because it was so late at night.

Ben decided to break into the flat so he could go to bed – but this is said to have angered flatmates, who are accused of calling the police on July 10.

The police decided not to intervene with Ben offering to pay the costs of repairing the damage he inflicted by forcing entry into the apartment.

But the Greater Manchester man disappeared and has not been heard from since that day, when he emailed Felix admitting his mental health had suffered a setback.

His mother and sister will now fly to Mallorca to begin their own search.

Felix said: “Like any mother, no matter how old your children are, they are still your children.

“I just need to know that my son is safe and well. The last few days have been torture.

“Please, if anyone has seen Ben, even if it’s just for a second, let the authorities know. We need to find him.”

A GoFundMe The page was created by Felix’s friend Carla Speight to help raise money for travel and accommodation expenses.
