July 19—A Lyman man is in critical condition after a crash in Arundel Thursday night.

Chase Boisvert, 24, was taken to Maine Health in Portland with serious injuries following a crash at the intersection of Route 111 and Limerick Road in Arundel, according to York County Sheriff Bill King.

Boisvert was riding his 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle when a 2013 Kia Forte, driven by 57-year-old Paula Gregoire of Arundel, pulled into traffic in front of him, King said.

The motorcycle crashed into the sedan and both drivers were taken to the hospital.

Gregoire was treated and released from Maine Health in Biddeford on Thursday night. The road was closed until 8:35 p.m. and the accident remains under investigation, police said.

King said in a phone interview Friday that he does not know Boisvert’s current condition and that no charges have yet been filed.

He said he is concerned because this is the third motorcycle accident in York County this week. He said drivers need to share the road with motorcycles, and motorcyclists also need to be careful.
