WALMART’s anti-theft policies continue to drive many customers crazy as they try to crack down on theft.

However, many of the customers expressed their annoyance with the increased efforts to catch criminals.

The Walmart shopper went on a cruel rant about how they looked like “a psychopath” trying to comply with all the store guidelines.

“I went to Walmart. On the list: drink, hot sauce, dishwasher soap, condom”, says the user posted in X.

“I’m going to look like a psychopath when I check out. I have everything except condoms, which are on the other side of the store, close to everything else.”

“Go to the other side. Find them. They’re behind a locked door,” they seethe.

“People are stealing condoms, I think. The young lady who works there opens the door and gets some for me.”

According to user X, the woman who helped them said: “You have to pay for them here. I can’t let you leave this area without paying for them.”

Although the customer said he was willing to pay for the item right then and there, he realized he wasn’t finished shopping yet.

“Ah, but you know what? I need to buy a Coca-Cola for the rum I just bought. I tell her to keep the condoms with her. I forgot something,” the person’s story continues.

The user said that after managing to secure the soda he returned to the associate only to encounter another problem.

“The girl looks at my cart: ‘Oooooh, do you have alcohol? I can’t check that. I’m under 21. You’ll have to check the other items elsewhere. I’m sorry.” “

I’m ‘boycotting Walmart’ because of their absurd new policies – workers cost me 45 minutes by refusing to let me use self-checkout

Ah… ok then… Pay for the condoms. Go all the way back to the other side to pay for everything else,” they add.

The story inspired a range of mixed responses.

“I hope the person you use these condoms with appreciates the effort you put into getting them,” one user laughed.

The original poster responded that they were for him and his wife and “she almost always appreciates me.”

Anti-theft measures implemented by retailers

Retailers in the US and Canada have implemented strategies designed to combat theft. The US Sun has compiled a list of measures that have been implemented in stores.

  • Lock items in cabinets.
  • Safety stakes.
  • Security cameras.
  • Signs warning about the impact of theft.
  • Receipt scanners.
  • Receipt checks.
  • Carts with locking technology

“Correct, buying condoms makes you look like a psychopath.” smiled a second user.

“Why would you steal condoms? They give them away for free,” a third person questioned.

This isn’t the first time someone has complained about Walmart’s anti-theft measures.

A customer recently complained that it was impossible to find an employee to open the locked doors.

Sunita (@sunniimee) shared his rant in a post X and complained about the store’s merchandise being blocked.

“#Walmart is getting tougher with their security tactics,” she wrote.

“They’re locking more and more things and you can’t find anyone to unlock them.”

Sunnis then claimed that buyers like her were facing unfair consequences.

“Those of us who are honest are the ones who suffer,” she wrote.
