Forest History Center to Host ‘Be a Naturalist’ Family Day

will host a “Be a Naturalist” family day event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the History Center, 2609 County Road 76.

During the day, visitors of all ages can explore a range of activities centered on the wonders of nature. Participants can take a horse-drawn tram ride led by naturalists, learn how to make plaster trails, explore Mississippi River macroinvertebrates and try casting flies with Trout Unlimited, a release said.

Additional organizations with booths at the event include Minnesota Master Naturalists, Minnesota Master Gardeners, North Country Trail Association and more.

There is no additional cost to participate outside of regular on-site admission.
