A TOURIST was allegedly raped by five men in Paris just days before the start of the Olympics.

The 25-year-old Australian woman told police she was forced to flee to a kebab shop wearing a torn dress and with her underwear in her hand after the alleged attack.

The distressed woman claimed she was attacked by five men at around 5am on Saturday, and they also stole her phone.

She managed to escape to the Dounia kebab shop on Boulevard de Clichy, close to the iconic Moulin Rouge cabaret theater, before calling the police.

The alleged victim was then taken to Bichat hospital “disoriented and unable to speak a word of French”, say onlookers.

When she left for the hospital, her dress appeared to be inside out, according to local media.

The woman would be in Paris for the Fete de Musique music festival.

She should fly back home to Australia just one day before the alleged assault.

The Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office has now opened an investigation into the woman’s allegations and is expected to inspect security cameras in the area.

They said in a statement: “The investigation into the accusation of gang rape that was probably committed on the night of July 19-20 has been entrusted to the second district of the judicial police.”

The Alliance Paris Police Union added that investigators “will do everything to quickly identify the individuals and bring them to justice.”

It comes as Paris seeks to ensure its safety ahead of the Olympics, which begin on Friday.

Paris 2024 is expected to become the most closely watched Games ever, with more than 60,000 police and soldiers, drones, helicopters and a huge increase in AI surveillance, all mobilized after months of growing security concerns.

The robust defense system will be led by more than 45,000 police officers and a huge force of up to 18,000 soldiers.

France’s biggest troop deployment since World War II aims to keep the 15 million visitors and 10,500 competitors at the Olympic Games safe.

Along with the massive security teams, a number of aerial units will also be in operation.

Rafale fighter jets, AWACS surveillance flights, Reaper surveillance drones and helicopters with high-level snipers on board will patrol the skies over Paris throughout the event.

Security expert Will Geddes told The Sun that Paris is “launching everything from physical, technical and psychological operations” to ensure the event is protected.

This comes amid huge security concerns in the French capital following a series of recent incidents.

Organizers are preparing for all possibilities during the event, with terrorist attacks and protests looming over the Games.

Paris has been rocked following recent election chaos that saw tens of thousands of riot police fighting with opposing political supporters.

Political candidates and activists were attacked in the streets with cars and buildings set on fire after the most controversial vote ever in the country.

The terrorist group ISIS has already threatened frightening attacks at the Olympics.

The death cult posted a propaganda poster showing one of its terrorists apparently piloting an “armed drone” to attack the iconic Eiffel Tower.

Officials have already made a series of arrests ahead of the Games, with a 26-year-old detained for allegedly planning “violent actions”.

Weeks ago, a 16-year-old was also detained for allegedly saying he wanted to “die as a martyr.”
