A 45-year-old BRITISH man died in Cyprus after falling from the balcony of a luxury hotel.
The anonymous tourist was on holiday with friends in Paphos, in the south-west of the island, when he died on Tuesday morning.
Authorities said he was part of a group of tourists who had been drinking before the tragic accident, local media reported.
He was found dead in the hotel garden after falling 10 meters from the third floor.
Local police have launched an investigation and are identifying the Briton.
Criminal activity has now been ruled out after a pathologist went to the scene to examine the body.
The Brit reportedly stayed at the hotel for several days with friends before his Horror to fall.
Early evidence suggests alcohol may have played a role in the crash, although investigations are ongoing.
Local media said the tourist group consumed a “large amount of alcohol” before the fall.
A few weeks ago, another British tourist fell to his death on the balcony of a hotel in Mallorca.
The man was “severely injured” when he fell head first in broad daylight after a fight with friends, local media reported at the time.
The 43-year-old was quickly rushed to Son Espases Hospital in the island’s capital, Palma, for emergency medical care.
