COVID lockdowns are long over, but remote work appears to be here to stay in South Florida.

By 2023, 35% of Americans with jobs that can be done remotely worked entirely from home full-time, according to Research Bank. And 41% of this group worked a hybrid schedule, commuting to the office sometimes.

Although Florida quickly abandoned COVID restrictions, remote work has taken root in the state. More than 10% of all workers in Miami-Dade and 11% in Broward work from home, according to 2022 data from the Census Bureau.
