Convicted and jailed former Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein was hospitalized for a “myriad of health issues” but also tested positive for Covid-19 and double pneumonia, a representative said.

Weinstein was taken to the prison wing of Bellevue Hospital, said Weinstein’s representative and corrections consultant Craig Rothfeld.

New York Department of Corrections records also show that Weinstein, 72, is in Bellevue.

Weinstein was taken to the hospital to be treated for “conditions he still suffers from daily, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis, fluid in his heart and lungs, and several other conditions,” Rothfeld said.

“Additionally, Mr. Weinstein tested positive for COVID and contracted double pneumonia in his lungs,” Rothfeld said.

Weinstein was convicted in New York and Los Angeles of sexual crimes and, in the Los Angeles case, was sentenced to 16 years in prison.

Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in New York, but the 2020 rape conviction was overturned in April after a state appeals court ruled that the judge erred in allowing women to testify about allegations that were not part of the case.
