13-year-old girl shot Friday in Norfolk

A 13-year-old girl was shot Friday night in Norfolk.

Norfolk Police received a call around 8:40 p.m. and responded to the scene in the 1300 block of W. 26th Street. The victim was taken to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to a police spokesperson.

An investigation is ongoing. No additional information was available at this time.
