Suspect arrested after officer-involved shooting in northeast Atlanta

Atlanta Police investigators are looking into an officer-involved shooting that happened Saturday night.

APD said officers were called to a domestic situation on Peachtree Street just before 8 p.m.

When they arrived at the scene, they spoke with the victim, who gave officers a description of the suspect.

The suspect was not at the scene when officers arrived, but after police searched the area, they found him.

Upon being located, the suspect fled from the officers and, while running, began shooting at the officers.

An officer returned fire, hitting the suspect in the arm.

The suspect is stable in Grady and is in police custody.

No police officers were injured.
