After returning to launch less than 24 hours earlier, SpaceX launched yet another batch of Starlink internet satellites from the Space Coast.

After being delayed twice, the Falcon 9 rocket finally leapt from the launch pad at 1:09 a.m. on Sunday, July 28.

Having two launch pads from which the company can launch its Falcon 9 – Pad 39A and Launch Complex 40 – SpaceX has the ability to launch back-to-back from the Space Coast.

Eight and a half minutes after liftoff, the rocket’s first stage landed on the A deficit of gravitas drone in the Atlantic Ocean. This Falcon 9 first stage has already flown 13 times – this includes launching NASA’s Crew 5, the GPS III Space Vehicle 06, the Inmarsat I6-F2, the CRS-28, the Intelsat G-37, the NG-20 and from seven other Starlink missions.

When is the next launch in Florida?

On Tuesday, July 30, a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket will lift off at 6:45 a.m. EDT from Launch Complex 41. This will mark the last national security mission for the Atlas family of rockets. The USSF-51 mission is a secret payload for the Space Force.

Although it will be the last national security payload the rocket will carry, this will not be the final launch of the Atlas V, as there is more to come before the rocket is officially retired.

The ULA Vulcan rocket will replace the now-retired Delta IV and Atlas V rockets.
