A missing British man was tragically found dead near his family’s holiday home in Portugal.
Police spent the weekend searching for the 28-year-old in a massive manhunt involving drones and sniffer dogs after his heartbroken relatives reported him missing.
Authorities were searching an area near the village of Saboia, just above the Algarve in Portugal’s Alentejo region, when they made the grim discovery of the man’s body.
A huge team of firefighters was mobilized to search the area where the devastated family were staying when the man went missing.
The Briton had unspecified “health problems”, according to local reports.
The holiday house was in a quiet and rural area of Portugal next to a vast forest near the banks of the famous Mira River.
The exact location where the body was found has not yet been announced and the autopsy results are not expected to be released soon.
Police sources confirmed they are not investigating the death as suspicious.
The unidentified Briton is believed to have been reported missing on Wednesday, and the search only began two days later.
