UKRAINE blew up an oil terminal in Russia as a humiliated Vladimir Putin flexed his military muscle at the Navy Day parade.

Explosions could be heard in the Kursk region, where a kamikaze drone attack targeted the Polevaya oil plant in an attempt to thwart the Kremlin’s offensive in Ukraine.

Governor Alexey Smirnov said: “Ukrainian drones attacked an oil terminal in the Kursk region.

“Three fuel tanks caught fire.”

The fires were caught on camera in Ukraine’s latest coordinated effort to cut off Russian oil supplies to the conflict zone.

This is the fourth time that Ukrainian forces have attacked the Polevaya oil depot, which supplies fuel to the Russian military machine.

According to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, enemy air defense systems operated in the area where the facility was located.

The explosion took the shine off a naval parade organized in St. Petersburg, presided over by Putin, involving 200 ships and other vessels and 15,000 soldiers.

But this year’s parade did not feature the display of Russia’s largest warships, after Putin’s fleet became almost redundant in the war.

Zelensky’s army impressively destroyed Vlad’s beloved warships, attacking at least 20 ships since the start of the war.

Ukraine’s top brass said 33 percent of the Black Sea Fleet’s 184 warships had been decommissioned.

Earlier this year, Putin’s newest and only missile cruiser, Zyklon, was destroyed along with the 266-M minesweeper, Kovrovets, by Ukrainian forces.

In April, the Ukrainian Navy said it had struck the rescue ship Kommuna – the oldest ship still in service with the Russian Navy.

In response to continued Ukrainian attacks, Russia has moved part of its fleet of warships to Novorossiysk in the south, far from ports such as Odesa in Ukraine and Sevastopol in Crimea.

Speaking at the parade, Mad Vlad issued a chilling warning to the West that his country may use new strike weapons in retaliation for the United States’ intended deployment of long-range, hypersonic missiles in Germany.

Putin has promised to take similar steps towards the US, which earlier this month declared it would begin deploying the weapons in 2026.

The despot said: “If the US implements such plans, we will consider ourselves free from the previously imposed unilateral moratorium on the deployment of intermediate and short-range strike weapons, including increasing the capacity of our navy’s coastal forces.”

He went on to say that Moscow is almost finished developing suitable systems.

In recent weeks, both Washington and Moscow have indicated that they are prepared to use intermediate-range land-based weapons, which were prohibited for many years by a 1987 agreement between the US and the USSR.

In 2019, the United States withdrew from the agreement, citing Moscow’s alleged violations of the agreement through missile tests.
