Amtrak will offer daily nonstop service to the Great New York State Fair, which begins Aug. 21 in Syracuse.
Four trains – one from Toronto and one from Niagara Falls and two from New York – will make daily trips to the fairgrounds along the Empire Service and Maple Leaf lines.

When do trains leave their destinations and arrive at the New York State Fair?
Empire Service Train 281 leaves New York Penn Station at 10:21 am arriving at 4:19 pm and train 283 leaves at 1:21 pm arriving at 7:11 pm
Maple Leaf Train 64 leaves Toronto at 8:20 am and arrives at 2:28 pm and Empire Service Train 284 leaves Niagara Falls at 6:27 am and arrives at the fairgrounds at 9:23 am.

Where is the Amtrak stop at the NYS Fairgrounds?
The fairgrounds Amtrak stop is located at the rear of the fairgrounds, next to the Suburban Park concert area.
When is the New York State Fair and how much are tickets?
The fair runs for 13 days, from Wednesday, August 21st, until Monday, September 2nd.
The annual summer event, started in 1841, includes music, agricultural displays and lots of food. Tickets are $8 for adults and children 12 and under, and free for those 65 and older.
