Snoop Dogg tested his super “lung power” by getting into the pool for a special lesson with swimming legend and Olympian Michael Phelps.
The hip-hop icon donned a swim cap and goggles for a one-on-one master class from 23-time Olympic gold medal winner Phelps in a special video celebrating the 2024 Paris Olympics.
“When it comes to one of my life goals, I can only think of one man — Mr. 23 Times, OG, the GOAT,” Snoop said.
“You see that MP and I came back like backstroke. Now MP, how does someone get to the pool quickly?” he asked.
Phelps said there are two key things: wingspan and lung strength.
“You just described me! You said wingspan, lung strength — I definitely have big lung strength,” Snoop, known for his songs about smoking weed, said with a laugh.
“And I have a swimmer’s body. Look, our bodies are similar, man,” he said, standing side by side with Phelps. “We could be twins!”

The two legends entered the water with Phelps showing Snoop the proper freestyle arm movements.
The artist then showed off his freestyle – that is, the swimming stroke.
When it was Phelps’ turn, Snoop watched in awe as he shouted, “Okay, flipper!”
The two then tried to freestyle in sync.
“Mike, you make this look too easy. You see, I’m in gold medal condition,” Snoop said, visibly out of breath. “And he’s still in gold medal condition right now!”
“A shout out to the Phelps family and the team that’s going to give me oxygen now,” joked the rapper at the end of the clip.
The men’s 200-meter breaststroke, 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter butterfly and 800-meter freestyle will take place on Tuesday at the Olympics.
Snoop has been active in the Olympics. Earlier this month, he carried the Olympic flame through the streets of Saint-Denis, a suburb north of Paris, and is also a NBC Special Olympics correspondent of the Games.
