Timpf admitted that her positive pregnancy test on May 30 came as a complete shock due to her “geriatric” age.

“I never expected to find myself in this situation,” Timpf, 35, he wrote.

“In fact, I prepared for every outcome except this one: First, I expected not to get pregnant, especially not naturally.

“After I did it, I expected that I would probably miscarry. I mean, I’m 35, which makes my pregnancy geriatric, from a medical standpoint.”

The Fox News contributor added that finding out she was pregnant was nothing like she had imagined.

“In my imagination, I would wake my husband, who would abruptly sit up, look at the test and be awed by this life-changing moment, bringing us into a passionate embrace that we would remember for the rest of our lives. ” said Timpf.

“The reality? It was hard to wake him up, and when I finally woke him up, he said he couldn’t see the line and went back to sleep.

“For me it was also less of a captivating moment and more of a slow realization: the line got darker and darker.”

Timpf detailed how she and her husband first heard their baby’s heartbeat on the day of the June 27 presidential debate.

“We heard the heartbeat for the first time and then we heard it again,” shared Timpf.

“It was never this emotional feeling of OMG WE ARE GOING TO BE PARENTS!!!!

“Because I was too aware of all the things that could go wrong to be intoxicated by such a passionate reaction.

“There was also something else working against the possibility of me experiencing total amazement, and that was, well, I was very tired.”
