SHOCKING footage showed the harrowing moment a Chick-fil-A employee confronted an armed robber inside the store.
The delivery driver was alone at the Georgia location when Tommie Lee Williams, 51, forced his way through the drive-thru window at 4:30 a.m. on July 1.

With the gun in his hand, Williams burst into the kitchen and told the victim that “he was going to die if he didn’t open the safe and point a gun at him.” according to to a Facebook post from the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.
However, the employee did not know the combination to the safe, he said. police.
Security images released by police shows Williams pointing the gun at the worker who appears to explain that he doesn’t know how to get into the safe.
The men began throwing punches as they fought for the gun.
The fight pushed the men to the other side of the room as they punched and scratched each other’s faces.
The worker was able to remove the black mask Williams was wearing, revealing his face.
At some point, the gun fell to the floor and was seen in one of the doors.
The men continued to fight even though the gun was kicked out and fought briefly off-screen.
Williams appeared to reach for the gun, grabbing it once again and causing the worker to begin fighting him again.
Williams opened a door, appearing to leave, but the worker continued to fight him.
The video lasted a few more moments before stopping.
Williams managed to flee the scene after the three-minute fight.
When the police arrived, he had already disappeared.
Police searched the area and found a car they believe Williams used to drive to the restaurant, which led to his identification.
Williams was eventually arrested on July 31 and faced a series of charges.
Tommie Lee Williams Accusations
Tommie Lee Williams, 51, received multiple charges after trying to rob a Chick-fil-A and holding a worker at gunpoint.
His charges are:
- Armed robbery
- Aggravated assault
- Second degree robbery
- Kidnapping
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Second degree criminal damage to property
According to the sheriff’s office, he was arrested with the help of U.S. Marshalls.
He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail, however, a bond amount was not immediately listed.
Police released photos of the fight along with a photo of Williams.
The identity of the worker has not been released at this time.
