SCARY photos show what a spooky theme park, once full of laughter, looks like after being left to rot.

The abandoned park, called Test Track, last closed in 2019, leaving visitors devastated.

Explorer Ben Stevens, 30, captured the park’s chilling atmosphere during his visit to the site in Fort Myers, Florida.

Haunting images illustrate the variety of attractions that have been slowly declining since the park’s closure.

With its deserted attractions and an eerie silence in the air, the vast facility has an eerie atmosphere.

The explorer compared the places he saw to a scene from an apocalyptic film.

Ben, from Cambridge, Massachusetts, said: “I went to the park alone last week.

“It was very hot, so it was like walking through a desert.

“It was like something from a apocalypse film since all the toys are left unused and all the cars sit there.

The theme park is filled with playgrounds and mega roller coasters that are now stuck in time.

It’s hard to imagine that children ever had fun within what’s left of its walls.

The test track became a shell of its former glory after reportedly experiencing financial difficulties and closing permanently in 2019.

Now the theme park is in ruins, while the colorful stands of popular attractions are disappearing.

The ghostly images also reveal how the deserted theme park deteriorated and was taken over by nature over time.

A runaway train sits on its tracks while karts are parked in rows – never to be used again.

A former water ride is now filled with murky water and overgrown with vegetation.

The rusting structure of a giant suspension tower haunts the landscape as the bumper cars lie in shambles.

The cavernous site also includes a pirate ship, a rocking chair ride, and a carousel, all of which appear abandoned after years of neglect.

The explorer managed to take an intriguing aerial photo of the park using a drone camera.

The aerial photo exposed the empty attractions in poor condition and overgrown with bush.

Ben said that although the attractions had begun to decline, he felt this only added to the site’s charm.

He said: “I enjoyed seeing all the toys rotting, that was probably my favorite part of my visit.

“It’s strange how it used to be such a fun place and now it’s silent.

“It has been abandoned since 2019, when it was left without money.”

Ben’s love of visiting deserted places has taken him all over the world.

He traveled to several states in North America, the United Kingdom and Japan in your search for abandoned places.

Ben added: “I love exploring because it’s like your own personal museum where no one else has been inside.”

Elsewhere, a Chinese amusement park was given the unwanted title of “worst theme park in the world” after tourists were left baffled thinking it was abandoned.

Situated in China’s capital Beijing, Shijingshan Amusement Park has been dubbed a Disneyland imitation by tourists for decades.

And a theme park opened “for the enrichment of humanity” in 1981 has been abandoned for 34 years.

Built in the suburb of Two Rocks in the far north of Perth, Australia, Atlantis Marine Park was the first element in transforming the area into a premier leisure recreation region.
