The 21-year-old known for shooting two men in Kenosha, Wisconsin, posted his thoughts about the former president on X.

“Hi, I’m Kyle Rittenhouse, director of outreach for gun rights in Texas,” Rittenhouse began his video.

“A lot of people are upset because I said I’m going to write Ron Paul for president of the United States.”

He claimed Paul will do more for gun rights than Trump, blaming the business mogul’s “bad advisors.”

“That’s true; I’ll write in Ron Paul. Unfortunately, Donald Trump had bad advisors who made him bad on the second amendment.

“That’s my issue. If you can’t be completely uncompromising on the Second Amendment, I won’t vote for you,” he continued.

“I will write to someone else. We need defenders of the Second Amendment; otherwise, our rights will be eroded and eroded every day.

“I support my decision and I have no doubts”, he concluded.

Rittenhouse captioned a retweet of his video: “You must stand up for your principles.”
