Simone Biles has asked people to stop asking athletes “what’s next?” after winning a medal at the Olympic Games.

The seven-time Olympic gold medalist wrote in a post on social media platform

One of his followers jokingly responded, “What’s your next step after winning?” [a] gold medal??”

In a tongue-in-cheek response, Biles wrote: “Taking care of the medal.”

Biles, the most decorated gymnast in historywon her seventh gold medal on Saturday, and third at the Paris Olympics, with victory in the women’s gymnastics vault event.

With the individual floor and balance beam competitions still to come, she could surpass her record of four medals from the 2016 Rio Olympics.

It has been a triumphant return to the Olympic stage for Biles, who was one of the biggest stories of the Tokyo Games when, as a favorite to win multiple golds, she withdrew from most of her events.

She later revealed that she suffered from “the spins,” where a gymnast loses track of where she is in the air.

She faced heavy criticism after her decision to drop out of school and has since been working with a therapist in Paris.

“Negative comments are hurtful to a certain extent,” he said.

“They hurt me, but I’m still in therapy working on all that, to make sure my mental health is okay. But they (the critics) are very calm now, so that’s strange.

“After all these years of working mentally, it has been worth it. I am very excited to be on this stage again.

“The Olympics are a very tiring process for athletes, and it’s several days of competition, so you definitely have to be aware of your mental and physical (health). As long as we do that, then.” You’re fine and so far I feel fine.

“Once we’re here, the track is our stage. We feel very liberated because we’re in our element, we’re having fun, we’re doing what we love to do.”

Biles will conclude her campaign on Monday when she reaches the beam and floor finals.
