A Mount Clemens convenience store clerk recently reduced a Macomb County man to tears.
On May 7, a 34-year-old man purchased a Jumbo Jackpot Slots Fast Cash ticket at the Cass Market and Liquor located at 278 Cass Ave. according to the Michigan Lottery.
When he read the ticket’s barcode on the lottery scanner, it instructed him to look for the retailer, then he handed the ticket to the employee who told him he had won the game’s estimated jackpot of $802,234 plus $250,000.
“I’m not going to lie, I definitely shed a few tears!” the winner, who chose to remain anonymous, told the Michigan Lottery.
It was the first time he played the $20 Fast money game. The series of instant win games are printed on retailer terminals and range from $2 to $20 per game, according to the Michigan Lottery.

“I was at the lottery machine deciding which game to buy when I saw the Jumbo Jackpot Slots Fast Cash game,” he said. Fast money ticket until then, so I decided to give it a try.”
He recently received his $1.05 million prize. With the money, he plans to take care of his children and invest.
