Buckingham Fountain closed due to vandalism

CHICAGO – The Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park has been closed until further notice due to vandalism to the fountain that occurred Friday night.

According to a post on X do Chicago Park DistrictThe closure of the fountain took effect immediately, starting at 9:30 am on Saturday, and will remain closed until further notice as the fountain is undergoing maintenance due to vandalism.

Forecast for Saturday: hot, humid and windy

Future updates on the condition of Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park will be posted on X, according to the Chicago Park District.
