A truck crashed on Parkway North Sunday morning.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police’s preliminary investigation, the driver of a truck traveling south on I-279 at approximately 3:30 a.m. lost control of the truck, struck the concrete barrier and ran off the road. The cab and trailer rolled over and came to rest on Mt. Nebo Road near McAleer Road below I-279.

The truck broke into several pieces and our crew saw a crane being used to remove part of the debris from the forest. Crews are also moving the truck’s lettuce load off the road.

The PSP states that the driver was transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
