Air India will not operate flights to and from Tel Aviv amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the airlines said. The decision to suspend services to Tel Aviv was first taken on August 2, but the Tata Group carrier was expected to resume operations today.
But Air India said flights to Tel Aviv will remain suspended until further notice.
“Given the current situation in parts of the Middle East, the scheduled operation of our flights to and from Tel Aviv is suspended with immediate effect until further notice,” the airlines said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“We are continually monitoring the situation and offering a full refund to our passengers with confirmed reservations for travel to and from Tel Aviv. The safety of our guests and crew remains our highest priority,” he added.
Also earlier this year, Air India briefly suspended flights to Tel Aviv at different times due to tensions in the Middle East.
After almost five months, the carrier restarted services to the Israeli city on March 3.
