CAIRO — An Israeli airstrike hit a school-turned-shelter in Gaza City, killing more than 60 people, Palestinian health authorities said Saturday.
The Health Ministry’s Ambulance and Emergency service said the attack on the Tabeen school in central Gaza City also injured 47 people.
The Israeli military acknowledged the attack and claimed, without evidence, that it had hit a Hamas command center inside the school.
