Influencer, 23 years old, shares lunch on Instagram. Attackers find her and shoot her

Ecuadorian influencer Landy Parraga Goyburo was shot dead after his Instagram post revealed his location to attackers, reports say. Shortly before his death, Goyburo posted a photo of her having lunch of ‘octopus ceviche’ in a restaurant, where he was targeted by two armed men.

The incident was captured on surveillance cameras, revealing how two unidentified armed men stormed the restaurant where Landy Parraga Goyburo was sitting. While she was talking to a companion, the armed men burst in. In a matter of seconds, the tranquility of the restaurant was shattered as gunshots were heard, sending diners running for cover and leaving Goyburo and another person defenseless.

Despite the chaos, the 23-year-old’s attempt to seek refuge proved futile, as one of the armed men mercilessly shot her. The attackers then escaped, leaving behind a scene of horror and disbelief. Images captured in the sequence show Goyburo, a former beauty queen, lying in a pool of blood.

Shortly before the attack, the influencer had shared a photo of her lunch with her 173,000 Instagram followers. Investigators believe the armed men learned of her location from the station.

The motive for the heinous crime is not yet known. Speculation abounds, with theories ranging from Goyburo’s alleged involvement with a famous gang leader to his involvement in a corruption investigation linking judicial officials to organized crime. Rumors are circulating that the murder may have been orchestrated by the widow of a drug lord, with whom Goyburo allegedly had an affair.
