The White House said Tuesday that Israel’s closure of border crossings into Gaza was “unacceptable.”

Washington:

The White House said on Tuesday that the closure of border crossings into Gaza was “unacceptable” after Israel sent tanks into the southern city of Rafah and took control of the crossing with Egypt.

“The crossings that were closed need to be reopened, it is unacceptable that they are closed,” press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at a briefing, adding that another crossing, at Kerem Shalom, was expected to reopen on Wednesday.
