Geneva, Switzerland:
A man armed with a knife injured several people on the streets of the northern Swiss city of Zofingen on Wednesday before being detained, police said.
Police did not provide the number of victims or details about the attacker.
The man first attacked a passerby at the train station in the town of 12,000 people in the canton of Aargau, about 60 kilometers west of Zurich.
He then injured several people seemingly at random before entering a home, police said in a statement.
After two hours of negotiations with a specialized team, the man was arrested, police said. The suspect was injured, police said.
