A popular travel influencer and YouTuber was found dead in his home just hours after being arrested as part of a child pornography investigation in Argentina. According to New York Post Office, The body of Leonel Esteban Borroni was found by a relative in his home, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, on May 17th. He was found hanging from a skylight with his hands and legs tied with plastic straps. Police suspect he took his own life, but are awaiting the results of the autopsy.

The travel influencer was known by his social media username “Un Leon Viajero,” which means “A Lion Traveler” in English. He had 164,000 followers on Instagram where he posted photos of motorcycle trips to places like Ecuador, Venezuela and French Guiana.

Notably, he was arrested following the alleged discovery of child pornography on his electronic devices. He was released on bail just hours after appearing before a judge as part of an ongoing investigation into human trafficking and sexual abuse.

The influencer is believed to have refused to answer questions about the child pornography allegedly found.

The case came to light after Argentine authorities received a complaint from a US-based agency specializing in combating child exploitation. Another five men and one woman, aged between 20 and 50, were also implicated in the investigation.

His last Instagram post was two weeks ago, when he shared a photo of himself on the back of a motorcycle and said goodbye to some of his followers. He wrote: “What a beautiful moment I am living in Laions, saying goodbye to some social networks and joining others.”

He had previously posted: “In these eight years traveling to places I never thought I would reach, I reached my travel goal, I am happy for everything I was able to film and, above all, for having health and support from the Laions, I hope the universe helps me enjoying it all. I walked from another place with more comfort, I deserve it.”
