DONALD Trump blasted President Joe Biden as a “broken pile of shit” in a newly published video and dubbed Kamala Harris “pathetic.”

The former US president shouted from his seat in a golf cart and made a false claim that Biden had withdrawn from the presidential race.

Appearing to hand over a cash tip on the golf course to several supporters, Trump said: “How did they do in the debate the other day?”

He then referred to “that old pile of crap,” echoing his earlier digs about Biden’s performance during their first head-to-head debate.

Biden bizarrely admitted he almost fell asleep during the awkward display — which saw members of his own party call on him to resign.

In images shared on Trump’s Truth Social network, he claimed that Kamala would replace Biden, despite repeated comments from his team insisting he will not back down.

The MAGA leader barked, “He just gave up, you know, he’s dropping out of the race, he’s out of the race.”

He continued: “And that means we have Kamala [Harris]… She’s so bad, she’s so pathetic, she’s so evil.”

In a tone of condescending derision, Trump added: “Can you imagine that girl dealing with Putin and the president of China, who is a very fierce person?”

Last Thursday Biden, 81, and Trump, 78, faced off in CNN’s first televised debate – incredibly early for the November presidential elections.

It seemed to be a gamble made by the White House side – which may not have paid off.

Members of Biden’s own Democratic party have dubbed it an “absolute disaster,” “a meltdown” and “a slow-motion car crash.”

The White House came to the president’s defense and said that he had a cold and a sore throat during the debate.

His voice from the beginning was muffled and he often stumbled over certain responses or lost his train of thought entirely.

It was a far cry from Biden’s terse speech that battled Trump during the 2020 presidential debates.

Despite repeated pleas from US politicians and even media outlets, Biden doubled down on his plans to remain until the bitter end.

This week he insisted: “Let me say this as clearly as possible, as simply and directly as I can: I am running.

“Let me say this as clearly and directly as possible, as simply and directly as possible: I’m running.”

Biden made the comments to a host of Democratic colleagues, some who traveled to D.C. for an emergency summit on the public relations crisis of Biden’s faltering performance, NBC reports.

First lady Jill Biden also insisted her husband would not back down as she spoke to Vogue from Camp David this week, where the president’s family gathered for decisive negotiations.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also assured the media that Biden is “clear-eyed and staying in the race.”

When asked whether he would step down, Jean-Pierre insisted: “Absolutely not.”

Biden admitted to voters in North Carolina that he has trouble debating like he used to, just a day after his televised mistake.

The president said that doesn’t “speak as softly”, “debate as well” or “walk as easily” as he used to.

Expert Analysis – Impact of the debate

Measuring the impact of discussion with an expert:

Southern Illinois University associate professor of political science Ken Mulligan told The US Sun that “the elections are effectively tied; they are closer than any presidential election in decades.”

However, he believes Trump now has “the momentum and the advantage.”

He believes that although presidential debates generally do not have a large impact on election results, it could affect voter turnout as Biden and Trump are historically unpopular.

And while Trump is still “the most unpredictable candidate ever,” Mulligan believes Thursday night’s debate could feature fewer personal attacks than previous fights.

“Trump is now a convicted felon,” he added.

“But I don’t see that necessarily being a big problem for him, because most Republicans think these charges were politically motivated.”
