PRESIDENT Joe Biden described himself as a “black woman” during a confusing radio interview.

The awkward commander-in-chief, 81, appeared to blend in with Vice President Kamala Harris during the awkward exchange.

Just days earlier, he told a series of Democratic colleagues of his plans to enact a self-imposed curfew, refusing any official events after 8 p.m.

Biden, speaking to Philadelphia station WURD on Thursday, said, “I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, the first Black woman… to serve with a Black president.”

He previously served as vice president to President Barack Obama, the first black president of the United States, likely the source of his confusion.

The stilted radio appearance is the latest in a series of missteps for which Biden has been ridiculed, with even members of his own party questioning his coherence.

At 81 years old, Biden is the oldest president in US history and has long been the subject of discussions about his mental acuity.

The radio interview was Biden’s first since his disastrous debate with former President Donald Trump, 78, last week on CNN.

He told the station: “I had a bad debate. But 90 minutes on stage doesn’t erase what I did for three and a half years.”

Members of Biden’s own Democratic party dubbed the TV spectacle an “absolute disaster,” “a meltdown” and “a slow-motion car crash.”

The White House came to the president’s defense and said that he had a cold and a sore throat during the debate.

His voice from the beginning was muffled and he often stumbled over certain responses or lost his train of thought entirely.

It was a far cry from Biden’s terse speech that battled Trump during the 2020 presidential debates.

Despite repeated pleas from US politicians and even media outlets, Biden doubled down on his plans to remain until the bitter end.

This week he insisted: “Let me say this as clearly as possible, as simply and directly as I can: I am running.

“Let me say this as clearly and directly as possible, as simply and directly as possible: I’m running.”

Biden made the comments to a host of Democratic colleagues, some who traveled to D.C. for an emergency summit on the public relations crisis of Biden’s faltering performance, NBC reports.

In the same meeting he admitted that he needs to limit his working hours and sleep more – even if it means missing important events.

“President [George W.] Bush went to bed at 9, and the President [Barack] Obama had dinner at 6:30 p.m.,” Biden-Harris campaign spokesman Kevin Munoz said in a statement to New York Times.

“Normal presidents find a balance, and Joe Biden does too. Hardly the same rigor as Donald Trump, who spends half his day complaining on Truth Social about plans that would cause a recession and the other half playing golf.”

Yesterday a video appeared of Trump on his Truth Social network classifying Biden as a “broken pile of shit” and Kamala Harris as “pathetic”.

The former US president shouted from his seat in a golf cart and made a false claim that Biden had withdrawn from the presidential race.

Appearing to hand over a cash tip on the golf course to several supporters, Trump said: “How did they do in the debate the other day?”

He then referred to “that old broken pile of shit,” echoing his earlier taunts about Biden’s performance during their first head-to-head debate.

Biden bizarrely admitted he almost fell asleep during the awkward display — which saw members of his own party call on him to resign.

In images shared on Trump’s Truth Social network, he claimed that Kamala would replace Biden, despite repeated comments from his team insisting he will not back down.

The MAGA leader barked, “He just gave up, you know, he’s dropping out of the race, he’s out of the race.”

He continued: “And that means we have Kamala [Harris]…She’s so bad, she’s so pathetic, she’s so bad.

In a tone of condescending derision, Trump added: “Can you imagine that girl dealing with Putin and the president of China, who is a very fierce person?”

President Vladimir Putin strangely said he supports President Biden to win the elections in November.

He admitted watching the painful debate and added: “I saw bits and pieces – but I have enough to go on.

“We didn’t know what could happen? We knew.”
