The BJP on Friday appointed former Rajasthan BJP president Satish Poonia as in-charge of Haryana state.

Jaipur:

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday appointed former Rajasthan BJP president Satish Poonia as in-charge of Haryana state.

Poonia is among the BJP in-charges and co-in-charges appointed for 24 states by BJP president JP Nadda. He also served as deputy leader of the opposition in the last assembly.

Along with Mr. Poonia, UP Rajya Sabha MP Surendra Singh Nagar was appointed co-in-charge.

In the Lok Sabha elections too, the party appointed Satish Poonia as in-charge of state elections in Haryana.

However, the BJP is yet to decide who will be the party chief in Rajasthan as the desert state’s name did not appear in this list of 24 states, which was released on Friday.

Arun Singh served as the last state in-charge in Rajasthan and since his shift to Andhra Pradesh, the post has remained vacant.
