Marine Le Pen hits out at Kylian Mbappe for election comments

France captain Kylian Mbappe has been criticized by French politician Marine Le Pen over his recent election comments.

Mbappe and other French internationals have spoken out about the potential for political change in France ahead of Sunday’s crucial elections.

Before an important vote, Mbappé repeated his appeal to French voters to prevent the “extremes” from coming to power before the second round of elections.

Mbappe described the results of the first round as catastrophic and called on young people to react and ensure that Le Pen is not elevated to a position of power in Paris.

France faces Portugal in the semi-finals of Euro 2024 with the final calendar for July 14, which will conflict with the vote if France overcome La Roja and reach the final clash.

However, despite praise for her position on the issue, Le Pen responded to Mbappé, claiming that his position does not reflect French society in a realistic way.
