Palestinian Territories:

Palestinian sources said at least 29 people were killed on Tuesday in an attack on a school used to house displaced people in Gaza, the fourth such incident in four days, with Hamas blaming Israel for the deaths.

The Israeli military told AFP it had carried out an attack in the area and was analyzing the incident. He acknowledged the carrying out of three other attacks since Saturday on Gaza schools that were used as shelters.

The attack hit the entrance to Al-Awda school in Abasan, said a source at Nasser hospital in the nearby southern town of Khan Yunis, where the victims were taken, adding that 29 people were killed and dozens were injured.

The government’s media office, run by Hamas, accused Israel of carrying out a “terrible massacre” and also estimated the death toll at 29, stating that the “majority” were women and children.
