HONG KONG — World leaders expressed concern on Sunday about an attempted murder targeting the former president of the United States donald trump in a demonstration in Pennsylvania That left one attendee dead and two others seriously injured, and many condemned the violence that shocked the world.

Trump’s campaign said the presumptive Republican nominee was “fine” after being carried off the stage although the gunshot pierced the top of his right ear.

Zelenskyy expressed his wishes of strength to all those who were horrified by the event. “Hopefully America will come out of this stronger,” he said.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said on X that he was shocked by the “shocking scenes” and sent his best wishes to Trump and his family.

“Political violence in any form has no place in our societies and my thoughts are with all the victims of this attack,” he said.
