A special police task force detained three people at a refugee center in southern Germany on Monday after hearing what sounded like gunshots.
It is not yet clear where the gunshot noises came from or who may have fired them, a police spokesman said.
The emergency call was received by police at around midday (10am GMT). Officers surrounded the center in the northern Bavarian city of Uffenheim and cordoned off a large area.
The police spokesman said special forces also heard gunshots coming from the building.
One person initially exited the building and was arrested without resistance, police said, while two others were detained in the attic.
In the afternoon, police gave the green light on social media platform X. “There are no victims. There is no danger,” the post said.
Police said emergency services would search the building for a weapon.
